Add the Guest Home for the branch of the family that wants its own kitchen, the cabins for the couples, and the campgrounds for the RVs. Everybody meets back at the Lodge for dinner.

For the kids
No screens required
One grandmother told us she banned electronics for the weekend and the kids were not bored for a minute. Fishing with feeders under the dock so something always bites, the treehouse at Refuge, the pedal boats, the lit basketball court, geocaching with the ranch map, frogs and turtles at the Beaver Pond, deer at the feeders at dusk and the telescope after dark.
I built this place with my own family in mind. A lake you can swim in, docks to fish from, a porch wide enough for three generations at once, and a fire pit big enough for all the stories. When you book, the gate closes and the ranch belongs to your family alone.
Dom and Carol live here and will meet you at the gate. The hayride is at dusk. The water slide is for the kids, mostly.
Come make a tradition of it. Most of our reunions have.

The ranch
The lake and seven docks, canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, a rowboat and a fishing boat, fishing, the gun and archery range, the trails, the lighted sports complex, the observatory, the fire pits, campus Wi-Fi, bedding and towels, and the hosts. The six-person UTV, extra golf carts and firewood are the only extras.
Yes, it is included. It has rifle lanes to 300 yards, a pistol range, skeet and archery. Bring your own firearms and ammunition, and your group must provide professional supervision and a safety briefing whenever it is in use.
Every dock has swim ladders, the Lodge dock is gated, and there are three sandy beaches. There are no lifeguards, so children swim with an adult. No motorized boats are allowed on the lake.
Pets are welcome at the pet-friendly facilities, and the Guest Home has a horse stall and a small fenced pasture.
Free high-speed Wi-Fi covers the whole campus and handles calls and streaming. Cell coverage varies by carrier; Wi-Fi calling works.
Dom and Carol, the ranch hosts, live on the property and meet every group at the gate. Rick manages the grounds, and Jim, the owner, is often around.
Getting here
About 90 minutes from Fort Worth and two hours from Dallas, by way of Jacksboro or Graford. The last four miles are a gravel ranch road; any car can manage it.
The August 2026 fire reached the east side of the campus and damaged two remote buildings. The Lodge, cabins, campgrounds and docks were unharmed, the crosses are standing, the trees are green, and we reopened for Labor Day 2026.
